Kazi Nazrul Islam Mahavidyalaya, named after one of the great sons of Bengal, has been in existence since 1st June, 1982. Over the last three decades the College has seen plenty of ups and downs and despite the odds has always stood up to the challenges of time. It has integrated itself with the demands of technology that has become the driving force behind modern-day Indian academic institutions. In its constant search for excellence we have been imparting knowledge and training with utmost sincerity through fully digitised Library, excellent laboratory facilities (presently in Geography only), installation and use of Smart Class rooms, Virtual Class Room facilities, Seminar Hall, use of internet facilities etc. Class Note facilities are also being made available on our website for use of students and we have also extended computer-learning facilities to our students recently. Regular classes are taken by highly accomplished faculty members who have vast teaching as well as research experience. We believe in open-ness and participation that would help in the all-round development of not only the students but also the institution as such. Our strength lies in the beautiful teacher-student relationship and a prevailing atmosphere conducive to learning. As part of the spread of research facilities and academic participation at the higher education level the College has in the past conducted successfully two International Seminars and eight other National seminars.
